Dingyuan Ship is a warship ordered by the Qing government from Germany for nearly 6.5438+0.7 million taels of silver. It was a rare large armored ship in the world navy at that time. The ship was manufactured by Germany Fulqiang Shipyard and launched on1October 28th. 1883+065438.

1894 September 17, the main force of Beiyang Navy led by Dingyuan and Zhenyuan fought a decisive battle with the main force of Japanese naval joint fleet in Dadonggou waters of the Yellow Sea.
