Li Bai was an outstanding romantic poet in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, and was known as "Poet Fairy", "Poet Knight", "Brewmaster" and "Immortal". Together with Du Fu, they are called "Du Li". He Zhangzhi exclaimed as "a fairy falling from the sky".
Li Bai once presented the Hanlin in the first year of Tianbao, Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty (742). But because of his unruly personality, he left Chang 'an in less than two years.
