Introduction of Qinghefang Historical and Cultural Block
Qinghefang is a prosperous area of Hangzhou since ancient times, located in the old city of Shangcheng District of Hangzhou, with rich historical and cultural heritage. To the east of Xingong Bridge in Hefang Street is the site of Deshou Palace, the bedroom of Song Gaozong in the Southern Song Dynasty. Zhang Jun's mansion, which was named King of Qinghe County in the Southern Song Dynasty, was called Taiping Lane in Yujie at that time, so this area was named Qinghefang. During the Southern Song Dynasty, Qinghefang was the political and cultural center of Hang Cheng, where merchants gathered. After Yuan, Ming, Qing and Republic of China, this area was still a prosperous business district in Hang Cheng until the early liberation. Hangzhou's century-old shops, such as Wang, Wan Long Ham Stack, Hu Qingyu Hall, Fang Huichun Hall, Ye Zhongde Hall, Baohetang, Zhuangyuantang, Wang Runxing, Yiyuan Jindian, Jingyangguan and mutton soup kitchen, are all concentrated in this area.

In 2000, the municipal government promulgated the Measures for the Protection of Qinghefang Historic Block in Hangzhou, and the Qinghefang block was preserved during the transformation of the old city of Hangzhou.
