English and ideological and political theory should be tested in the initial examination of dance postgraduate entrance examination. This is a national unified examination, and professional examinations generally require an introduction to dance history and art.

1. There are four subjects in the preliminary examination for graduate students, namely, ideological and political theory, foreign languages (English for master students and English for master students), specialized courses 1 and specialized courses 2. Among them, ideological and political theory and foreign languages are organized by the Ministry of Education, and specialized courses are organized independently by the enrollment institutions.

Specialized courses vary from school to school and from major to major. Some schools test the history and introduction of dance in specialized courses, and some schools test the introduction of art. For details, please refer to the professional catalogue of the colleges and universities.

2. Dance majors are divided into dance performance, dance choreography and dance education. Take the 202 1 dance postgraduate course of Beijing Dance Academy as an example;
