Which city is Qiaocheng?
The name "Overseas Chinese Town" has been boasted in many places, but it dates back to Shaoguan, Guangdong at the earliest.

As we all know, Shaoguan is one of the cities with many bridges across the river in Guangdong Province, and is known as the "Bridge City". At present, there are as many as ten river-crossing bridges in Shaoguan. The completion of these bridges not only improved the traffic in Shaoguan, but also made great contributions to the rapid development of Shaoguan economy.

For thousands of years, the bridge in Shaoguan has experienced the evolution from the initial pontoon bridge and bamboo bridge to the modern reinforced concrete bridge: before the Song Dynasty, people traveled between the three rivers by ferry. At the end of the Song Dynasty and the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, the first pontoon bridge was built on the Wujiang River, and the indissoluble bond between Shaoguan people and the bridge began. 1933, the first railway bridge on Zhenjiang River and the first modern reinforced concrete bridge in the urban area were successively completed and opened to traffic, which opened the prelude to the construction of new bridges. After liberation, especially since the reform and opening up, under the leadership of the Party and the government, the industrious Shaoguan people have written a new chapter in bridge construction in "Bridge City". Nowadays, commuting on the bridge has become a habit of Shaoguan people for generations: commuting, shopping, going from Shaoguan to other places, returning to Shaoguan from other places or crossing the bridge. ...

Nowadays, Shaoguan is a famous tourist city, and its unique landform and long culture attract the attention and footsteps of domestic and foreign tourists. These ten bridges have also become a major feature of Shaoguan's urban landscape.

Building the Longest Bridge-Old Donghe Railway Bridge

Today, there are still piers of the old Donghe Railway to the south of the new railway bridge.

The Old Donghe Railway Bridge spans Zhenjiang, connected to Donghe Timber Factory in the east and connected to the foot of Maozi Peak in the west. 19 13 started construction, but the bridge construction was once interrupted due to the shortage of construction funds the following year. After the construction continued at 1920, it was repeatedly interrupted due to poor technical equipment, and it was not completed until 1933+0. The whole process lasted for 20 years. Its construction period is as long as any other bridge.

1983, the double track of Hengguang Railway started, and a double track railway bridge was built 50 meters north of the old railway bridge. After the completion of the new bridge, the old bridge was abolished and its historical mission was completed.

Qujiang Bridge, the oldest bridge.

Qujiang Bridge still plays the role of transportation hub.

Qujiang Bridge is the first modern reinforced concrete bridge in Shaoguan, named after the former Qujiang County of Shaoguan City. This bridge spans Zhenjiang, starting from the railway station in the east and reaching Jiefang Road in the west. According to the specifications of the United States and Germany at that time, it was a reinforced concrete cantilever suspension bridge with a height of12m, a width of 6.92m, a length of 397.86m, a load of13t and a hole of1.

Qujiang Bridge was built in 1929, started in June 1 1933, and was completed and opened to traffic in August 1935. After the completion, General Li Hanhun presided over the opening ceremony, and Cai Puquan, an 80-year-old gentleman in this city, cut the ribbon. After 73 years of construction and war baptism, it witnessed the vicissitudes of Shaoguan.

Shaoguan1fell on October 27th, 1945. When the Kuomintang defenders retreated, they blew up four piers on the west side of the bridge, namely, pier 7, pier 8, pier 9 and pier 10, which caused the five-hole bridge deck to collapse into the river and the traffic of the bridge was interrupted. 1946 bridge reconstruction, basically restored to its original state.

1in April, 949, the People's Liberation Army from the south crossed the river by millions, and the Chiang family dynasty was immediately destroyed. 654381October 6, the PLA captured Nanxiong and sent troops to Shaoguan. March overnight 130 miles, and arrive outside Shaoguan city in the early morning of the 7th. The Kuomintang officers and men who guarded Shaoguan were terrified and abandoned the city and fled. In order to stop the pursuit of the People's Liberation Army, Kuomintang troops poured gasoline on Qujiang bridge deck, and the fire raged for a while. At this time, the head of the vanguard troops of the People's Liberation Army 134 regiment urgently ordered the second platoon of Changle Keming to quickly occupy the bridge with territorial soldiers and put out the fire. Regardless of danger and sacrifice, the second platoon finally captured both ends of the bridge, and the masses spontaneously went to rescue and put out the fire, ensuring the smooth entry of large troops into Shaoguan city. When PLA soldiers flew over Qujiang Bridge with the five-star red flag held high, the whole city boiled and cheered. Soon, national hotel raised the city's first five-star red flag, announcing that Shaoguan had returned to the hands of the people.

Since then, Qujiang Bridge has changed its name several times. During the Cultural Revolution, the bridge was renamed "Anti-imperialist Bridge" and 198 1 was renamed "South Gate Bridge" (Jiefang Road was also called Fenglie Road in the Republic of China, commonly known as South Gate). Finally, the government changed its original name according to public opinion, which has been used ever since.

With the expansion of Shaoguan Railway Station and the increase of passenger flow, the original Qujiang bridge deck has become too narrow and the load is too small. In the 1980s, a widening and strengthening project was carried out. Today, Qujiang Bridge still plays the role of a transportation hub, and it is worthy of being the oldest bridge in active service. Whenever night falls, two rows of bridge lights and colorful decorative lights are bright and shining, just like two fire dragons flying over the rivers of the town, with extraordinary momentum and becoming a landscape of this ancient mountain city.

The most beautiful bridge-Wu Liting Bridge

The bridge and the lights complement each other, dazzling and elegant.

Wu Liting Bridge is 525 meters long and 32 meters wide, connecting Maozi Peak in the east and Huimin Road in the west. It is a key project of Shaoguan urban transit section of National Highway 323, with a cost of 65.438+0.2 billion yuan. The bridge body of the bridge is spliced by two giant red panda-shaped steel pipes, with a span of120m. It is like a gorgeous rainbow across the banks of the Wujiang River, and Shaoguan people affectionately call it "Rainbow Bridge". The completion and opening of the Wu Liting Bridge has greatly improved the living environment on both sides of the Wujiang River in the north of the city and eased the pressure of urban road traffic congestion.

The five technologies of Wu Liting Bridge are the best in China:

1. Large-diameter variable-section pile technology with maximum diameter and maximum single-pile bearing capacity: the diameter of the bored pile of the bridge is 3.5m, and the single-pile bearing capacity is 5,000 tons;

2. The largest span arch-beam composite system, the main part of the bridge is composed of 120m arch and 190m beam;

3. Precast jacking construction technology of continuous box girder with maximum span190m: its jacking span190m is the largest in China;

4. Construction technology of hoisting and vertical rotation of panda-shaped cluster steel pipe arch with the largest span 120m in China;

5. Construction technology of continuous box girder with movable formwork with maximum width-span ratio: the formwork has a width of 30m and a span of 20m, which is the largest in China.

On a quiet night, Wu Liting Bridge is like a toilet near the river, with beautiful figure and moving reflection. Wu Liting Bridge is loved by thousands of people because of its natural beauty, and its figure often appears on Shaoguan's city business cards.

The most expensive bridge-Baiwang Bridge

A bridge across the east and west, the natural barrier becomes a thoroughfare.

The Baiwang Bridge, nicknamed "Flying Rainbow on the Beijiang River", spans the main stream of the Beijiang River, with a majestic body and looks like the Wu Liting Bridge. Baiwang Bridge is connected to National Highway 106 in the east, Furong Mountain Tunnel in the west and Xilian Avenue to National Highway 323. The total length is 786 meters, the bridge width is 28 meters, and the bridge deck is two-way and four-lane, so the traffic can be unimpeded. June 5438+October 20041October Baiwang Bridge was completed and opened to traffic. She is a master of multi-bridges, and many technical indicators are among the best. The cost of10.45 billion yuan makes it an out-and-out bridge "upstart" in a small city.

The completion and opening to traffic of Baiwang Bridge connects the southern suburbs of Shaoguan City and Western Union, and the entire Western Union Avenue runs through it, which makes the traffic to the Western Union area faster, provides convenient traffic conditions for speeding up the development and construction of the Western Union New District, and plays an important role in broadening the urban framework of Shaoguan City, improving the urban road traffic system and improving the investment value of Shaoguan City.
