On the afternoon of 26 October, 2065438+09/KLOC-0, the 14th meeting of the 13th the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) voted to pass the Encryption Law, which will come into force on 26 October, 2020.

Article 42 of the Code

The national password management department shall formulate password management rules in accordance with the provisions of laws and administrative regulations.

Article 43

Measures for the administration of cryptography in China People's Liberation Army and Chinese People's Armed Police Force shall be formulated by the Central Military Commission (CMC) in accordance with this Law.

Article 44

This Law shall come into force on June 65438+ 10/day, 2020.
