The Historical Evolution of Luzhou Airport
War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression is drawing to a close at 1944. In order to organize a strategic counterattack, a large number of strategic materials are needed. At that time, there were not enough airports in Chongqing. After consultations between the Chinese and American governments, the United States provided funds and technology to help China build Lantianba Airport. In 33 years of the Republic of China (1944), the national government ordered all relevant units to make preparations for it many times, but it was not until 34 years of the Republic of China (65444). At that time, Luzhou Lantian Airport was one of the "special projects". The National Government established the "Special Project Management Office of Lu Xian, Sichuan Province" to manage it, and designated the seventh district administrative inspector office to be responsible for administrative work. The 43rd Engineering Office of the Military Commission is responsible for the construction. The United States sent engineers and technicians, as well as the airport construction engineering office and the migrant workers management office.

In the 34th year of the Republic of China (1945), the construction project was officially started in March 16, completed at the end of May, and put into trial operation in June 1 year. The whole project only took about three and a half months and made rapid progress, which is rare in the airport construction in Luzhou and even the whole country. The amount of engineering work is rare in Luzhou, and the total earthwork volume exceeds 900,000 cubic meters. The width of the north-south parallel jacking road is 13m, the length of the north parallel jacking road is 400m, the length of the Nanping parallel jacking road is 1.800m, and the drainage ditch leading to the Yangtze River is 400m long and 6m deep. There are also 10 parking rings and hangars. The width of the loading and unloading apron is planned to be 104m, and then changed to 47m. The cost of land acquisition, seedling raising and house demolition of the project is 5 1 10,000 yuan. The completed airport covers an area of more than 2,000 mu, 1 runway length1.86m, width 60m, and concrete pavement, making it one of the best airports in the strategic rear area at that time. After the airport was completed, China Airlines piloted the route from Tingjiang to Luzhou, which was used by the Kuomintang Air Force until liberation. After liberation, the former Lantianba Airport in Lu Xian County was renamed as Luzhou Lantianba Airport.

1950 In May, Chongqing Civil Aviation Station set up a navigation station at Lantianba Airport in Luzhou. At the beginning of 1959, Sichuan Provincial Communications Department and Chengdu Civil Aviation Bureau set up Sichuan Civil Aviation Bureau in Chengdu, and the newly established Sichuan Civil Aviation Bureau set up a leading terminal in Luzhou. In June of the same year, the navigation station was changed to Luzhou Terminal, which was under the leadership of Sichuan Civil Aviation Administration. The airport opened an irregular route from Chengdu to Luzhou.

65438-0966, the airport was handed over to the Air Force as a training base for an aviation school (flight academy) of the Air Force for the take-off and landing of primary trainers.

1986 In March, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the establishment of Sichuan Airlines, proposed to promote the development of regional aviation in Sichuan Province, and considered Luzhou as the first regional airport of Sichuan Airlines. Luzhou Municipal People's Government attached great importance to this, actively carried out preliminary work, and set up a leading group and headquarters for civil aviation recovery work to co-ordinate this work. With the active efforts of the local government and the strong support of the air force and civil aviation, the official reply of the State Council and the Central Military Commission on the military-civilian use of Luzhou Lantian Airport was obtained. Due to the serious damage to the airport, it cannot be directly used for civil aviation flight. The local government raised more than 8 million yuan through various means, and the military contributed and provided equipment and personnel to support the airport reconstruction.

1989 in the second half of the year, the airport reconstruction and preparation work was directly handed over to the Civil Aviation Command, and the airport reconstruction project was completed by the end of the year.

On March 23rd 1990, Sichuan Airlines sent a plane to conduct a test flight at the airport.

On April 1990, 1 000, tens of thousands of people gathered at Luzhou airport to hold a grand ceremony for the resumption and opening of civil aviation flights from Chengdu to Luzhou, and Sichuan Airlines Flight 7 flew to Luzhou. Since then, Luzhou Airport has successively opened direct flights to Chongqing, Guiyang and Kunming, as well as flights between Guiyang and Beihai, and the business volume has increased rapidly.

From September 65438 to September 0995, after the opening of Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway, the advantage of short-distance transportation from Luzhou to Chengdu-Chongqing was lost, and the airport business volume dropped sharply.

At the beginning of 1996, the General Staff and the State Planning Commission agreed to start the expansion project of Luzhou Airport. On April 1 day of the same year, the airport expansion project officially started. The whole expansion project is divided into phase I project (flight area project) and phase II project (terminal area project).

1998 12.23, Southwest Airlines used B737 aircraft to open a direct route from Luzhou to Guangzhou, and then opened a route to Beijing. The second phase expansion project of the airport (terminal area project) was started later.

200 1, 1, 65438+8, the second phase of the project passed the acceptance and was put into use on April 1 day, 20065438.

65438+On February 23, 2004, the inspection team of Southwest Regional Administration of Civil Aviation inspected Luzhou Airport, and found that there were some potential safety hazards and serious problems in the airport flight area, such as insufficient pavement strength, serious damage, unclosed and irregular lifting belts, and put forward rectification requirements.

On August 1 2005, the construction was officially stopped, and the rectification of the existing problems in the completion acceptance was completed on September 26. The acceptance team composed of Southwest Civil Aviation Administration and Chengdu Military Region Air Force carried out the internal acceptance of the project. 65438+1 October1Obtained the approval of airport use permit, and the airport resumed flight operation. In order to promote the local opening to the outside world and the development of traffic economy, Luzhou proposed to relocate the airport at the end of 2008. It is planned to take the junction of Shidong Town in Longmatan District and Yunlong Town in Lu Xian County as the airport site and name it as Luzhou Yunlong Airport.

Airport relocation

Due to historical reasons and objective conditions, Lantian Airport was built in a low-lying area near the Yangtze River. With the rapid development of the city, the airport has been on the edge of the central city, and the deterioration of airport clearance conditions has seriously affected flight safety. Military and civil aviation flights mostly interfere with citizens' production and life over the main city, and the requirements for airport navigation seriously restrict the development of urban construction. The foggy lightning weather along the Yangtze River affects the normal flight, and the poor connection with the main passages restricts the expansion of the airport radiation range. The conditions around the airport also limit the space for further expansion of Lantian Airport. In this way, Luzhou Airport can no longer meet the air transport needs of Luzhou City and its surrounding areas to further accelerate development. Necessity and urgency of relocation of Luzhou airport.

From June 5, 2008 to February 2009, the municipal government officially issued the Notice on Site Protection, Clearance and Electromagnetic Environment Protection of Luzhou Airport Relocation, which marked the substantial stage of Luzhou Airport Relocation. The new airport is located in Yunlong Town, Lu Xian County, with a planned investment of 2.77 billion yuan. When completed, it will become the largest airport in southern Sichuan.

The construction of Luzhou Yunlong Airport was on the right track after it was approved by the relevant state ministries and commissions and the army on 20 13.

After the completion of Luzhou Yunlong Airport 20 16, the contradiction between the serious infrastructure shortage of Lantian Airport and the deterioration of limited development clearance conditions will be fundamentally solved. After the completion of the new airport, the throughput will surpass Lantian Airport, the cargo and mail volume will be greatly improved, and the regional air transport center at the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and Chongqing will be basically built.

128 October 20 13, 10 Luzhou Yunlong airport experimental section started.

From July 2065438 to July 2004, the foundation treatment test section of Luzhou Yunlong Airport was accepted.

From 2065438 to August 2004, the relocation plan of Luzhou Yunlong Airport passed the air conditioning acceptance.

20 15 10, the relocation of Luzhou Yunlong airport was fully started.

After the relocation, Luzhou Yunlong Airport was built according to the higher airport standard of civil aviation flight area. The flight area is planned at the level of 4D and 4E, and there are terminals with a total area of more than 30,000 square meters at home and abroad. After the operation of the new airport, the domestic route of 15- 18 will be opened before 20 16, and the international route will be opened in due course, radiating south Sichuan, taking into account northern Guizhou, western Chongqing and eastern Yunnan, and becoming an important regional airport in Sichuan and even the west.
