Ban Jue Tenzin: the first living Buddha in Zhihe Cang (not counting ratification), was awarded the title of "Master of Enlightenment and Hongji" by the Qing court during the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty.
Awang Zongzhe (nephew of Banjue Tenzin): He was awarded the title of "Master of Enlightenment and Hongji". In the first year of Yongzheng, Zangdanjin in Luobu turned against Qing Dynasty, and Qutan Temple was implicated. The temple owner Awang Zongzhe was imprisoned in Lanzhou for seven years by the Qing Dynasty, and the seal given by the Qing Dynasty was also taken back. Since then, Qutan Temple has gradually declined.
Sea Lama: Cang, the first founder of Qutan Temple, became the temple owner.
Cang Living Buddha (Cang Chengshan): The current temple owner is from Ping 'an County, Qinghai Province. He became a monk 1984 and graduated from Qinghai University for Nationalities. He used to be the Secretary-General of Ping An CPPCC, and now he is the director of Qinghai Buddhist Association.
