History of Hongjia Boxing
China Nanpai Wushu is the first branch of Fujian and Lingnan, both of which are Shaolin Wushu. Because of regional differences and personal preferences, there are obvious differences in boxing between them.

Fujian Shaolin Boxing has a narrow stride and a dense bridge. It is good at short-distance fighting. Its representative boxing types are Wing Chun White Crane, White Crane, Tiger, Lion and Dragon. Lingnan School is the first to promote the five masters of "Hong, Liu, Cai, Li and Mo", while Shaolin Hongjia Boxing is the first of the five masters. It has been well-known in Lingnan for more than a hundred years and is a major school of authentic South Shaolin. At present, Hongjia Boxing occupies an important position in martial arts all over the world, and most of these Hongjia Boxing halls around the world are spread from Hong Kong to other places, so their Hongjia Boxing is generally the same as the system handed down from Hong Kong.

According to legend, Hongjia Boxing originated from Shaolin Temple in Putian, Fujian, and was taught by the Zen master who presided over Shan Zhi at that time. After acquiring skills, Hong Xiguan, a lay disciple from Fujian, came to Guangdong to establish a sect for the ancestors of the Hong family. Its boxing road is wider than Fujian Shaolin boxing road, the stride of waist and horse is bigger, and the fighting distance is longer or shorter. His boxing potential has a far-reaching influence on Lingnan Boxing School in the future.

Among the most proud disciples of Zen master Shan Zhi, there is a man named Lu Achai. His martial arts is learned from his master and his brother Hong Xiguan, and his martial arts is better. In his later years, he taught his skills to Huang Qiying and Huang Feihong in Haiqi Temple, Guangdong Province. Later, Huang Feihong became famous in Guangdong Wulin because of Hongjia boxing. Among his disciples, the famous ones are, Ling, Lu Zhenggang and so on.

Hongjia Boxing in Hong Kong is mostly developed from, and its disciples are Lin Zu, Zhu, Chen, Han Chong, Hu and so on. Their disciples are all over Xiangjiang, all over the world, and at the same time, they promote Hongjia martial arts and make Hongjia Boxing develop overseas. Lin Shirong's Hongjia Boxing Department is also the most widely circulated Xi Boxing. Lin Shirong should contribute to the success of Hongjia Boxing.

Another way of saying it is that the real birthplace of Hongjia Boxing is the Shaolin Temple in Putian, Fujian Province, presided over by Shan Zhi, a Zen master who lived in South Shaolin at that time. Later, the Qing court learned that South Shaolin was one of the bases of "anti-Qing and regaining sight", so it sent troops to burn it, and all the monks and nuns in the temple escaped from South Shaolin to continue the "anti-Qing" work. At that time, there were many lay disciples in South Shaolin, including Huang Kun, Lu Acai, Hu, Xie Yafu, Tong Qianjin, Rotten Head He, Li Bofu, Fang Kaoyu, Fang Yongchun, etc. At the same time, five monks became monks. After leaving South Shaolin, he was rescued by Chen Jinnan, a native of Hubei and a bachelor of Hanlin in Qing Dynasty, and was later called "Five Monks". Shan Zhi, a Zen master, and a group of lay disciples went south to Guangdong to communicate with Shaolin disciples from all over the world, so as to promote the Shaolin Hongjia Boxing. Therefore, every set of boxing methods of Hongjia Boxing refers to the thumb flexion at the beginning of martial arts. The thumb with four fingers "Dragon and Tiger Appears" indicates that the confidant is Hongjiazi, the fist clenched in the right hand represents the five lakes, and the four fingers in the left hand represent the importance of brothers in the world. After Shan Zhi Zen Master and Hongjia disciples scattered all over the country, they began to teach Hongjia Boxing. Each disciple has his own expertise, and the boxing skills he teaches may be somewhat different. But the theory is one. After more than 200 years of evolution, today's Hongjia Boxing has been divided into many tributaries, mainly divided into two schools, namely Hongjia Boxing on land and Hongjia Boxing on water. What is Hongjia Boxing on land, because some Hongjia disciples teach skills on land? On the other hand, after burning South Shaolin, they wandered to the Red Boat "troupe" and spread Hongjia Boxing to the children of Liyuan. Because of practicing martial arts on the ship, it was changed to "clip sheep and clip horses", so it was called Hongjia Boxing on the water.
