Dalian Ocean University, formerly known as Northeast Fisheries Technical School, was founded in 1952. From 65438 to 0978, Dalian Fisheries College was upgraded to Dalian Fisheries College. In 2000, Liaoning Agricultural Engineering School was merged into Dalian Fisheries College, and the school was placed under the management of Liaoning Province by the Ministry of Agriculture. 20 10 was renamed Dalian Ocean University in March, and the Liaoning Provincial People's Government signed an agreement with the State Oceanic Administration to jointly build Dalian Ocean University.

Dalian polytechnic university University, formerly known as Dalian Institute of Light Industry, is one of the key universities under the "Excellence Plan" and "20 1 1 Plan" in Liaoning Province, the first batch of pilot universities for the reform of the national agricultural and forestry talents education and training plan, and a member of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance.
Founded in 1958, the school is one of the earliest four light industry colleges in China. Originally belonging to the Ministry of Light Industry, it was placed under the management of Liaoning Province from 1998.

Dalian University of Technology, formerly known as Dalian University Institute of Technology, was founded in April 1949. 1in July, 950, the establishment of Dalian University was abolished, and the Institute of Technology of Dalian University was independent from Dalian Institute of Technology; 1988 changed its name to Dalian University of Technology in March.
