Speaking of Huadu, in addition to Guangzhou New Baiyun International Airport, the rapid development of its automobile industry is also fascinating. Huadu automobile industry has a history of 10 years, and its development can be roughly divided into four stages: the first stage was in the 1990s, when Huadu people founded "Guangzhou Automobile Bao Yun" and began to assemble automobiles and develop them independently; In the second stage, Guangzhou Fengshen Automobile Co., Ltd. was established in Huadu in 2000, which laid the foundation for the development of Huadu automobile industry. The third stage is the comprehensive cooperation between Dongfeng and Nissan in 2003 and the establishment of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Car Company in Huadu, which is a qualitative leap in the development of Huadu automobile industry. The fourth stage is the current leap-forward development stage. On July 29th, 2009, Dongfeng Nissan announced that the passenger car capacity expansion project with an investment of 5 billion yuan was settled in Huadu, and the production capacity of Huadu factory was increased from 360,000 to 600,000. Guangzhou plans to build three production bases of 6,543,800 passenger cars, and Huadu is expected to take the lead. Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. Passenger Car Company was established in Huadu, Guangzhou from June 65438 to June 2003. It is an important part of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., a joint venture with the largest scale, deepest level and widest field in China's automobile industry. On May 8th, 20 10, the foundation stone was laid for the world's most advanced Huadu No.2 Plant, with an additional capacity of 240,000 vehicles. On May 8th, 20 1 10 was put into production,12,21.
The base has driven more than 0/000 auto parts and related enterprises in local and surrounding areas, forming an industrial cluster with large scale, relatively complete industrial structure and rapid industrial growth, and has been recognized by the Guangdong provincial government as the only demonstration base for upgrading the auto industry cluster in Guangdong Province.
Huadu Automobile City has developed rapidly and its industrial agglomeration is obvious, attracting many well-known auto parts enterprises at home and abroad. With the settlement of Dongfeng Nissan and the rapid development of Huadu automobile industry, hundreds of well-known auto parts enterprises at home and abroad such as ConocoPhillips, Hitachi Ranger, Uni Stamping, Alpha, Wanbaojing, Sanchi, Lee Tae, Hong Zhong and Xu Sheng have successively settled in Huadu automobile industrial base. At present, there are about 150 parts enterprises in the park, forming a relatively complete industrial chain.
The base always regards environmental protection and energy conservation as one of its development goals. In June 2009, Wang Yang, secretary of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, led the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission to sign a memorandum of understanding with Nissan to promote the demonstration project of electric vehicles. Dongfeng Motor Corporation, together with Nissan, signed a memorandum of understanding with Guangzhou Municipal Government on the development of electric vehicles. Nissan electric vehicles will be listed in the domestic market on 20 1 1.
