According to the data of Baidu Encyclopedia, when Chinese characters developed into seal script, they gradually began to finalize the design (outline, strokes and structure), which weakened the pictographic meaning, made the characters more symbolic, and reduced the confusion and difficulty in writing and reading. This is also the first time in the history of China to standardize writing on a large scale by administrative means. Ma's seal of Zhongshan is a development of the calligraphy style of Zhongshan characters found in the tomb of King Zhongshan in the Warring States Period unearthed in 1977. The inscription of Sanqi is nearly a hundred years earlier than that of Xiao Zhuan, and its characters are slender, graceful, round and smooth, and its writing style is quite different from that of Oracle Bone Inscriptions, Jinwen and Xiao Zhuan. Personally, I think Xiao Zhuan looks better.
Zhongshan seal script is the writing of the ancient Zhongshan State, which comes from the inscription on the body of "Zhongshan Sanqi". "Zhongshan Sanqi" was unearthed in the formula tomb of Zhongshan King in Shan Zhi, Pingshan, Hebei. It is the collective name of Wang Tie bronze tripod in Zhongshan, bronze square pot carved by Solanum nigrum and copper round pot carved by Yin Si. This writing style not only has the characteristics of ancient bronzes and gold documents at that time, but also has a personalized seal style.
