The Historical Evolution of Zhongshan Park in Huizhou
Huizhou is one of the important bases of Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary activities. On the eve of the Revolution of 1911, in order to overthrow the rule of the Qing Dynasty, Sun Yat-sen sent personnel to Huizhou twice to organize and launch the Sanzhoutian Uprising and the Qinv Lake Uprising. In order to unify Guangdong and destroy the reactionary forces of Dongjiang warlords,1On July 23, 923, Sun Yat-sen personally went to Shilong to direct the attack on Yang Kunru, a rebel trapped in Huizhou City. From July to September of that year, Sun Yat-sen visited the positions of Hu Mei and Fei 'eling in Huizhou four times, and deployed to attack the enemy guarding the city.

1928, in order to commemorate Sun Yat-sen's dedication to the national revolution, the Yi people renamed Huizhou No.1 Garden as Zhongshan Park. 1937, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall was built in the park. The memorial hall is 36.6m wide and16.5m high. /kloc-0 was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Huizhou in July, 1978.

After the memorial hall was completed, it was bombed by Japanese planes in 194 1 and was later restored with disaster relief funds. After liberation, the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall was repaired many times. 1964 When it was restored, the plaque engraved with the words "Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall" in the memorial hall was changed to the topic word according to the original words. 1978, a platform of 1 12 square meters was built in front of the main entrance of the memorial hall. 1986, a bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen stands in front of the memorial platform. In 2002, Zhongshan Park was renovated again, and the park was expanded from 65,438+0.5 hectares to 3 hectares. There is a bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen on the platform, and the platform is surrounded by reliefs of Sanzhoutian Uprising and Qiruhu Uprising. An additional Aibo archway was built at the main entrance. The words "The world is public" were engraved on the archway, and a white marble lion was placed at the left and right of the entrance in the middle of the archway. Vehicles are prohibited from entering or leaving the main entrance of Zhongshan North Road about 600 meters away. On the east side of Zhongshan Park stands the Liao Monument, and the inscription records Mr. Liao's life story in detail.
