The history and culture of Xiao Kunshan
There used to be Erlu's former residence and Erlu's reading platform in the mountain shadow, Grace Ford Caotang and Baijuquan on the mountainside, Sizhou Tower and Sansheng Pavilion on the mountaintop, Hongling Ferry, Yangliuqiao, Begging for Flowers, Yuguangge, Yishan Building and Qixiantang on the foothills. Xiaokunshan has a history of human civilization of more than 5,000 years, and there are two ancient cultural sites in the Neolithic Age, which is an important birthplace of Shanghai's history and culture. Known as "first there is a small Kunshan, then there is Songjiang City, and then there is Shanghai Beach". There are many celebrities in Xiaokunshan, enjoying the reputation of "Jade Out of Kungang" since ancient times. This is the hometown of Lu Xun, the general of Soochow in the Three Kingdoms, Lu Jihe, a literary giant in the Jin Dynasty, and Xia, an anti-Qing hero in the late Ming Dynasty. In ancient times, Xiao Kunshan was one of the famous mountains in the south of the Yangtze River. There are hundreds of ancient and famous trees over a hundred years on the mountain alone, and there are many Taoist temples around it, which is a popular area for religious activities. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the trees in Xiao Kunshan were in full bloom.
