Degang Guo once said that there is half of the music industry, but there is no such thing as cross talk. There is only one sea, and there is a boat floating on the sea, and Deyun Society stays on it.
As a language art that makes people laugh, crosstalk naturally has the advantage of being close to the people. It is a question how long the banner of Deyun Society can stand without Degang Guo, although Deyun Society has produced once-in-a-century talents.
It is a miracle that the opera above the temple can survive so far, and it is impossible to be brilliant.
As an Anhui native, I have naturally heard Huangmei Opera since I was a child, and I can sing a sentence or two in some famous passages. Of course, I am more interested in Beijing Opera than Huangmei Opera, and I fell in love with it by accident. As a former cross talk lover (Fei Gangsi), Guo sang a Taiping lyric "Stop Forgiveness" adapted from the Peking Opera "Jiangdong Bridge" many times, saying that Hanwang Chen Youliang, the leader of the peasant uprising army, was besieged by Kang Maocai, the general of Zhu Yuanzhang, after his defeat at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. Kang Maocai and Chen Youliang used to be classmates and friends. Finally, at Chen Youliang's entreaties, they let Chen Youliang go, which was quite the wind of Huarong Road and Guan Fang. The last paragraph of this Taiping lyric does not use the melody of Taiping lyrics, but directly follows the singing method of Xipi flowing water in Beijing Opera. After listening to the boring and monotonous Taiping lyrics for 9 minutes, I suddenly heard the melody of Xipi flowing water in Beijing Opera. That kind of surprise and joy intoxicated me, and I became interested in Beijing opera from then on.
It's a pity that I only stay at the stage of enjoying Xipi Liu Shui, Xipi Adagio and Xipi Allegro, but I'm an alien among my peers and often teased by my friends in good faith.
Up to now, the biggest dilemma in the development of China opera lies in the fact that the social soil for its growth and development has disappeared and the skin does not exist. How can Mao be attached? Take Beijing Opera as an example, it was born and matured in the late Qing Dynasty, and the Thirteen Musts of Tongguang actually lasted only 100 years. At that time, the people lived in poverty and were still on the verge of hunger and cold. In addition to gambling and listening to books, entertainment and cultural activities have left a variety of folk arts. This is a monopoly development without competitors, and it is a successful model that cannot be replicated in that era. I can even say that if all kinds of entertainment and cultural activities are transferred to the age when Peking Opera was born and provided to people in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China at the same consumption price, Peking Opera will die miserably!
Peking Opera "Men Yang Woman"
If you don't believe me, you can think back, or ask your parents about the sensational scene when the film projection team went to the countryside to show movies in that era of lack of spiritual and cultural life. Is it possible for Peking Opera at that time to travel more than ten miles or even more to see a movie?
Every era has industries and phenomena that are suitable for its development and growth, and there are also things that are doomed to die. The game hall, once all the rage and regarded as the biggest enemy by countless parents, is now hard to find. The "mobile phone" that used to be placed on the table like a brick after the parent-teacher meeting may have never been heard of. The scene of the telegram can only be seen in spy war dramas. As for photocopiers and paging stations, they have been dead for more than ten years.
The audience of traditional dramas in China is decreasing. These audiences grew up in an era of material scarcity, while a new generation of young audiences grew up in various dazzling entertainment activities. Traditional Chinese opera can't attract them. This is the result of the development of productive forces and a historical journey.
If China opera is to be accepted and loved by the vast number of emerging people, unless there is another Cultural Revolution, all cultural and recreational activities except China opera will be banned, leaving the audience with no choice. Otherwise, we can think about why many criminals spend the most time studying in their lives when they are in prison, because they have no choice!
Therefore, people who see through this fact will not have any hope for the second glory of Chinese opera. No matter the "New Beijing Song" by Yu Kuizhi, Chu and others, or other improved ways of "keeping up with the trend", it is impossible to achieve any results.
So what is the final ending of this opera?
The best ending, just like Ewenki's legal hunting and Hezhe's making fish skin coats, has become a showy performing art, not a past life custom. After all, with all kinds of comfortable and close-fitting modern textiles, mental patients will be willing to wear fish leather clothes.
Ewenki, the last ethnic group to hunt.
Today's operas can only survive by state finance if they are valued and included in intangible cultural heritage at all levels. Without financial continuity, they can die naturally. Art forms are also alive. Art forms that have been eliminated by the times will only survive under the intervention of human beings. Once the interference and support of external forces disappear, even the best national essence of Beijing opera will only die.
As a cultural heritage, traditional Chinese opera should be preserved with modern technology as witness and data. I also agree to spend taxpayers' money to train inheritors for the opera and continue it. But that's like the hunting of Ewenki people and the making of fish skin coats of Hezhe people. It's just a decoration, and counting on opera to support itself can only accelerate the process of death.
Just like the birth and death of life, art forms also have their laws and processes of birth, rise, glory, aging and extinction. The reason why China's traditional operas and other art forms did not repeat the same mistakes and disappeared completely is because the external forces of modern society intervened and forcibly protected the continuation of life. Knowing this, we will look at the present situation of China traditional opera calmly.
