Guangdong local boxing mainly includes Li Family Boxing, Dragon Boxing and White Eyebrow Boxing, all of which come from Huizhou. Huizhou City is located in the southeast of Guangdong Province, at the northeast end of the Pearl River Delta, adjacent to Daya Bay in the South China Sea and Shenzhen and Hong Kong. It is the nearest city in Chinese mainland except Shenzhen. Huizhou belongs to the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone and now governs Huizhou City, Huiyang District, Boluo County, Huidong County and Longmen County. It is one of the largest marine cities in Guangdong Province. The resident population is 32 1 000. In some places where martial arts activities are developed in the Pearl River Delta, most of them can be traced back to Dongjiang in Huizhou, which has great cultural radiation and influence in the history of Huizhou martial arts.
Historically, Huizhou Wushu veterans taught Huizhou Wushu when they set up museums in Guangzhou, Hong Kong and even overseas. For example, Baimei Boxing Hall and Black Wushu, which have great influence in Hong Kong Dragon and Lion Club, are original Huicheng Wushu, and they regard Huizhou as their ancestral land. Huizhou Lijiaquan, which still has great influence, has taught Huizhou Wushu from generation to generation, making Huizhou Wushu take root in Huizhou. In September 2008, Huizhou held a large-scale international Wushu Tourism Festival to promote Huizhou Wushu and spread the spirit of Chinese Wushu.
