The Significance of Pan Jing Uprising
As an important event in ancient Japan, the Iwai Uprising attracted the attention of Japanese historians in the first half of A.D. 1950' s. At that time, Morisaburo Moriya, Fujimori, Menwaki and others believed that the Yamato imperial court had sent troops to the Korean peninsula many times, which caused a heavy burden to Kyushu, and the Iwai Uprising was the total outbreak of discontent in Kyushu.

After entering the 1960' s, Tarou Sakamoto, Sanpinzhang and others thought that the Iwai Uprising recorded in the Japanese History Book had been polished, but in fact it was only a trivial matter recorded in the Annals of Ancient History. However, these viewpoints do not deny the significance of the Iwai Uprising, so we continue to focus on the significance of the Iwai Uprising and continue our research. It is the consensus of many researchers and textual researchers to define the Iwai Uprising as an important event in ancient Japanese history.

After entering the mid-Kloc-0/970' s, Kiyoshi Yamamoto, Akio Yoshida and others published articles one after another, arguing that Japan's national form was formed around the succession dynasty, and the Iwai rebellion occurred in the process of merging political forces in various regions by the Yamato imperial court. In the past, the old view was that the Iwai rebellion was the rebellion of regional tycoons against the central government. This new view points out that there was no unified central government in Japan at that time, and Iwai was an independent regional country, which clashed with the Daiwa court trying to unify Japan, that is, Iwai rebellion broke out.

1978, an iron sword with a golden inscription was unearthed from the Daoshan ancient tombs in saitama. This discovery makes the view that the formation period of a unified central government can be traced back to the second half of the 5th century become the mainstream view. Historians began to re-explore the significance and historical orientation of Pan Jing Uprising. Judging from the relationship with the Korean peninsula, some people think that the alliance between Daiwa Electric Power and Baekje is an alliance with Silla in an attempt to stand on its own feet. The Iwai Rebellion is not so much a manifestation of the rule of the Yamato Empire as a statement that the Yamato Imperial Court wants to strengthen its regional dominance. There are different opinions about the evaluation of Iwai Uprising.

In addition, from the archaeological point of view, from the distribution and growth of stone products (stone men and horses) and decorative ancient tombs found in Kitakyushu after the war, we can link these in Kyushu's wide-area cultural circle with the Pan Jing Uprising.
