A brief history of Grenade gun development
Grenade first appeared at the end of 16, and it was launched with black powder in 17. At the beginning of the 20th century, grenades were fired with empty bullets, which were directly inserted into the muzzle with tail rods. Later, special rifle grenades were also developed by installing launchers at the muzzle.

Since the 1950s, rifle grenades have been continuously improved, which can be used as launching devices, with muzzle, sight on bullets, and warhead absorber in the tail pipe of bullets, and can be fired with live ammunition.

In the early 1960s, with the development of armored targets, various kinds of armor-piercing projectiles appeared one after another. However, due to the problems of volume, mass and recoil, rifle grenades were ignored for a period of time.

In the early 1970s, after analyzing and studying the future war and further clarifying the main tactical tasks of the grenade, the structure, launching mode and materials used in the grenade were greatly improved. Especially, the appearance of bomb catcher, the improvement of warhead structure, the update of fuze, the technology of rocket range extension, and the application of new materials and non-metallic materials on bullets have greatly improved the Grenade in many aspects, such as improving its power, expanding its use, increasing its range, simplifying its operation, reducing its cost, etc., and gradually developed in the direction of lightweight, serialization, multi-purpose and standardization.
