Wuyi, formerly known as Wu, is one of the earliest ancient names in the history of Hengshui area. It was built in the Xia Dynasty about 4000 years ago, and belonged to the sage Wu Luo of Houyi. There was a skillful craftsman named Yang Yi in Sujiazhuang, Wu Luo (now Wuyi Town, Hengshui City). He went home from Luban and Yang Yi and became a well-known carpenter. But the objects he carved by himself are lifelike, and the furniture he made is elegant and durable. Neighbors say he made a chair of God, and people who can't read will dream when sitting on it. When they get up the next morning, they can talk about ancient roads and splash ink. Sick people can recover by sitting on a corpse. People came to Wu Luo to inquire about the chairs and wanted to see if they were true or not. After learning that Yang Yi really made such an object, the news spread, and more and more people flocked to Wu Luo, which also shocked the heaven.
The Jade Emperor sent Taibai Venus down to earth to find out the truth and falsehood. In order to test the function of the chair, Taibai Venus was replaced by a dying old lady, who was carried by her family. Seeing this, Yang Yi quickly ordered his three sons to help the old man sit in a chair and treat him. It never occurred to me that once Venus Taibai sat on the throne, the cover-up method failed, revealing its true colors, and it was unbearable in front of everyone and fled in a hurry. Back in heaven, I reported to the Jade Emperor that this sacred chair can know the truth from the false and has infinite power. Should not stay in the world, lest the secret be leaked and the world be in chaos. So the jade emperor told the gods to put the chairs in heaven at midnight and put them in the hall for their own use.
Heaven secretly took the chair of God, but Yang Yi couldn't find it anywhere. It must have something to do with the arrival of Venus Taibai yesterday. Yang Yi thought that the sacred chairs that could benefit the world were stolen by heaven, and she was unwilling, so she worked overtime to make three sacred chairs and ordered her three sons to shop in Wuyi Town, Qingliangdian and Han Zhuang respectively. Heaven flew into a rage when she learned about it. Not only did she take away all the chairs that Yang Yi made later, but she also decided to imprison Yang Yi at the foot of Mount Wuluo and never leave the mountain.
Yang Yi's three sons don't know why their father and chair disappeared mysteriously at the same time, but they have been searching hard, but they have never found them. Forced to make a living, the three sons inherited their father's business and took root in the three places his father ordered them to go. Yang Yi lives in Wu Luo, but he is not idle. He used local materials, regardless of the size and variety of materials, but all the wood that entered his eyes was made into various tables and chairs, root carvings and gadgets. He also carved his life experiences on wooden slips for future generations. Thirty years later, people have forgotten Yang Yi's existence, until one day there was a long sound from Wuluo Mountain, suddenly lightning and thunder, and the boulder collapsed, and people went to Wuluo to find out.
Everyone was stunned by what was printed in their eyes. I saw pavilions, carved beams and painted buildings, and all kinds of supporting furniture, all beautifully carved and amazing. People can't find anyone except a set of wooden slips of Wu Luoyang's "Wu Luo Woodworking Classic". Only then did someone think of Yang Yi who had been missing for more than 30 years. Seeing this scene, people have said that Yang Yi was summoned by heaven to become an immortal.
With the passage of time, the palaces and furniture Yang Yi built in Wuluo gradually disappeared in every corner of Wu Luo. Yang Yi's three sons, Yu Yang, Angelababy, Song Yang and many craftsmen in Wu Luo, also copied and innovated according to Yang Yi's experience in writing Wu Luo Mu Zuo Classic, referring to Yang Yi's old products lost all over the country, and derived many sofas, word tables, long tables, tables, dining chairs, bookcases and treasures, which were later welcomed by everyone.
Thanks to Yang Yi's enlightenment and promotion, Wu became increasingly rich because of his rich woodwork. In order to commemorate the contribution of Yang Yi and his descendants to Wu, the people of Wu renamed it Wu Yi, and later generations built a cenotaph for Yang Yi on the Fuyang River. Today, Yang Yi's heroic spirit is still on the Fuyang River, guarding his children and grandchildren, and his carving skills have been passed down from generation to generation.
