● Hero "1900 Squadron"
Hangzhou Huixing Middle School's "1900 Squadron" is famous all over the country.
1954 In the autumn, nine young pioneers from Class 3 (D) of Huixing Girls' Middle School collected many seeds of Pinus massoniana and sent letters of condolence to the PLA soldiers at the front line in Zhejiang, hoping that these seeds could be planted on the newly liberated island with the red flag of victory. 1955 65438+ 10/8 After the battle to liberate Yijiangshan Island started, a PLA soldier who was carrying out a surprise mission landed on the island wearing a red scarf. Shi Wucheng, the platoon leader, died heroically in the fierce battle to seize the 1900 highland. When he died, his left hand was still clutching the seeds of Pinus massoniana dyed red with blood. The news aroused the enthusiasm of all teachers and students for loving the motherland and the People's Liberation Army. In order to commemorate the fighting friendship between PLA soldiers and red scarves, the Second Team of Young Pioneers in Class 3 (D) was named "1900 Team" (hereinafter referred to as the squadron). Over the past 40 years, the banner of "1990" has been handed down from generation to generation. Today, it is the oldest heroic squadron in China.
