I. Historical evolution
Yan 'an is one of the first historical and cultural cities in the State Council. In the Xia Dynasty, Yan 'an belonged to Yongzhou. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, it was successively owned by, Jin, Wei and Qin. Qin and Han Dynasties were under the jurisdiction of Shang Jun County. During the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, it was successively incorporated into the territory of pre-Qin, post-Qin and Daxia. Yan 'an County was established in Sui Dynasty, and Yanzhou or Yan 'an Prefecture was established after Tang and Song Dynasties. Yan 'an has always been a place where Han people and northern minorities mingle, and has long been the political, military, economic and cultural center of northern Shaanxi. From1June 1935 to1March 1947, Yan 'an was the seat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Mao Zedong and other revolutionaries of the older generation led the people of the whole country to win great victories in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, established a new China where the people were masters of their own affairs, and cultivated the Yan 'an spirit of self-reliance and hard struggle, leaving a glorious page in the history of Yan 'an.
Second, natural and human resources.
Yan 'an is rich in underground and aboveground resources. The land area is vast, with a per capita area of 27 mu, and the development of forestry and fruit industry, animal husbandry and facility agriculture has broad prospects. Rich in mineral resources, more than 0/0 kinds of underground mineral deposits have been proved, including 750 million tons of oil reserves, 765,438+tons of coal, 3.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas and more than 50 million tons of purple clay. The total forest area is 27.697 million mu, the timber volume is 45.2 million cubic meters, and the forest and grass coverage rate is 42.9%. The natural landscape and humanistic tourism resources are unique, and the tourism resources with the Chinese holy land Huangdi Mausoleum, China revolutionary holy land Yan 'an, Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River and loess customs culture as the main body are well-known at home and abroad. The city has more than 350 revolutionary sites such as Zaoyuan, Yang Jialing and Wang Jiaping, more than 30,000 cultural relics and nearly 10,000 historical photos. It is the three educational bases of patriotism, revolutionary tradition and Yan 'an spirit. Yan 'an has a profound folk culture, and folk cultural activities such as Shehuo, Yuanxiao and Zhuan Jiu Ge, as well as folk arts such as Xintianyou, peasant painting and paper-cutting all have a strong loess style.
