The rules of the champions league
The Champions League consists of three parts: Champions League qualifiers, Champions League play-offs and Champions League matches.
The qualifying stage includes preliminaries (semi-finals and finals, one final), the first round of qualifying, the second round of qualifying and the third round of qualifying. The qualifying stage (except the preliminaries) and the play-off stage are both two rounds. The second round of qualifying, the third round of qualifying and the play-offs are divided into "the way to win the championship" and "the way to the league".
A total of 32 teams participated in the group competition, which was divided into 8 groups with 4 teams in each group. The top two players in the group stage entered the knockout stage, and the third player in the group stage participated in the Europa League knockout play-offs. 1/8 finals, 1/4 finals, semi-finals are mainly two rounds away. The finals were held in a neutral venue, and there were no three or four competitions. If the two sides draw at the end of the 90-minute regular time, they will enter 30-minute overtime, and if the overtime is still undecided, they will enter a penalty shootout.
