The trend of education in China has always been the focus of attention from the government to the people. With the promulgation of the Outline of the National Medium-and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan and the start of the pilot work, the topic of education has been activated again. The TV documentary "Can Education Change" mainly sorts out the hot issues in China's current education reform, thinks about China's education reform and innovation from the perspective of history and culture, thinks about China's education under the international background, pays attention to the worldwide education reform, and draws lessons from the educational practice of other countries to let the audience know what a good education should look like. By showing the lively educational phenomenon of China people, we call for the establishment of the educational values of "educating people", hoping to promote the educational reform in China. In order to make this blockbuster more objective and professional, the film crew invited educators to hold two seminars in Beijing and Shanghai before shooting, and got many valuable opinions and suggestions. The filming lasted for one year, and 130 Chinese and foreign educators, government officials, students and parents were interviewed. After the production was completed, they listened to opinions and revised them repeatedly.
Full-film focusing problem, strong impact, not extreme. We can look at the contemporary education reform from a rational height, ask about the mission of education, present multiple viewpoints as far as possible, sort out the crux of education in China, and stimulate the audience to think together. This is a powerful blue book on education.
This work of interpretation mode indicates a certain turning point, that is, dare to attack head-on, intervene in real social problems, and show the characteristics of documentary.
In production, "Can Education Change" has also changed the problem that many political films are too didactic in the past. The expression of opinions often starts with specific stories, and TV means are quite in place.
Zhang Dawei, who once composed music for documentaries such as Famen Temple and Great Qinling Mountains, and Tan Jianghai, who created the theme song "Departure" and voiced the documentaries "The Road to Rejuvenation" and "The Power of the Company", all brought new experiences to the audience.
The documentary "Can Education Change" consists of 6 episodes, which are the starting line, learning revolution, fair confusion, the change of college entrance examination, university crisis and fresh start, each episode is 45 minutes.
