How to understand the university;
1. University comprehensive ranking
The evaluation and ranking of universities/disciplines is the overall reflection of the running level of universities, especially undergraduate colleges, and is an important basis for the society to understand universities. But from the index system, no ranking table can cover all the indicators, and there is no official authoritative ranking. Therefore, university/discipline ranking is an important but not the only basis when we choose and evaluate universities.
2. Admission scores and types of institutions
The historical admission data of colleges and universities in this province is a very important reference standard for candidates to choose schools.
3. Historical evolution and teaching staff
Candidates can check the official website or Baidu Encyclopedia of each school to learn about the historical evolution, school orientation and teaching staff of colleges and universities. Generally speaking, they can find more detailed information.
4. Geographical location
Due to the different development levels in China, different cities also represent different learning practices and employment opportunities. Therefore, when choosing colleges and universities, geographical location is also a factor that many students consider.
5. Quality of employment
The most direct way to know the employment quality of a college graduate is the official website of the school. Under normal circumstances, the school will publish a report on the employment quality of graduates every year. The content is very detailed, and candidates can find these data with a little care. On the other hand, candidates also log on to the school's student forum or senior exchange group to learn about their employment situation from their seniors.
6. Professional environment
When choosing a university, we should correctly understand the major of the university. Including the university's professional settings, what are the key disciplines and characteristic majors of each university, as well as the admission data of each major, to avoid the misunderstanding of university's professional selection, and so on.
