The origin of Fujian abbreviation "Min" The abbreviation of Fujian Province first appeared in the Zhou Dynasty, which has been more than 2,000 years. Xu Shen of Han Dynasty said in Shuo Wen Jie Zi: "Min is the snake god in southeastern Vietnam." There were many snakes in Fujian since ancient times, and the ancient clans living in Fujian regarded snakes as totems and idols. After the Southern Song Dynasty, Jianzhou was promoted to Jianning County. One government, five states and two armies, a total of eight, so Fujian is called "Eight Fujian". In Kaiyuan 13 of Tang Dynasty (AD 725), the Governor's Office of Zhou Min was changed to Fuzhou, and "Fuzhou" appeared for the first time. In kaiyuan 2 1 year (ad 733), a military commander was set up, with the word "min" from Fuzhou and Jianzhou, which coexisted with Fuzhou. This is the first time that the name "Fujian" appeared. Fujian was the first province to be established. 1356 Fujian Road was merged and Fujian Province was established. Fujian is located at east longitude115℃ 50-120℃ 43 and north latitude 23℃30-28℃22.
