Persimmon trees are usually grafted in summer, when the survival rate of grafted persimmon trees is relatively high.
Persimmon grafting method
1, splitting method
Splitting method is to cut off the rootstock at a proper position, then flatten the cross section, and then split the rootstock from the middle by 4-5cm with a knife, leaving 2-3 buds. When cutting the scion, the cambium between the rootstock and the scion should be aligned and finally tied tightly with a small plastic rope. Binding should be strict, tight and dense.
2. Subcutaneous transplantation
This method is also to cut off the rhizome at a proper position, then flatten the section and cut it vertically in a smooth place for about 2-3cm. At this time, the scion is cut into horse ears, leaving 2-3 buds, slightly cutting off the phloem on the back of the cut surface, gently inserting the scion between the xylem and phloem of the rootstock, and tying it tightly.
3. Square bud grafting
In the smooth part of the appropriate part of the rootstock, cut a knife horizontally from top to bottom, reaching the xylem with a distance of 2-3 cm, and then cut a knife vertically along one side to gently pry open the cortex. Cross-cut a knife 0.5cm above the scion bud, and cross-cut a knife at 1.5-2.5 cm below the bud, then cut a knife vertically on both sides of the bud, take off the bud slice with the size of the rootstock mouth (pay attention to bring the bud primordium), then gently insert it into the rootstock incision, align the upper end of the bud slice with the incision cambium, cut off the redundant rootstock cortex, and then tie it tightly with a plastic film to expose the petiole and budding.
4, budding with wood
In the smooth part of the appropriate part of the rhizome, cut a knife vertically, slightly woody, about 2cm long, and then cut a knife horizontally from the lower end of the vertical incision to take out the rhizome fragments. Take the scion and obliquely cut upward at about 1cm above the bud. According to the length of the rootstock incision, cut upward at the lower end of the bud 0.5cm, cut off the piece with wooden bud which is equivalent to the size of the rootstock incision, embed it into the rootstock incision, align with the cambium, and tie it tightly to expose the petiole and bud.

Planting conditions of persimmon trees
1, temperature condition
Persimmon is a warm-loving tree species, which can be cultivated in many places in China. But the annual average temperature 1 1-20℃ is generally the most suitable. In this temperature range, persimmon trees are the easiest to bloom, with long growth period and good quality.
2. Lighting conditions
Persimmon trees are also light-loving trees. Insufficient illumination at flowering stage leads to serious flower and fruit dropping. The fruit peel is thick and thick, with low sugar content, high moisture content, large color difference and late maturity, but it has good storage resistance. However, if the light is sufficient, the branches will develop completely, the branches will be stout, the organic nutrients will be easy to accumulate, the flowers will be easy to grow, the rate of multiple fruits will be high, the skin will be thin and tender, the color will be good, the taste will be sweet, the water content will be low, and the quality will be good.
3. Humidity conditions
Persimmon likes humidity and drought tolerance, but it needs sufficient water supply during the growth of new shoots and fruit development.
4. Soil conditions
Persimmon trees have no strict requirements for soil. They can grow in mountains, flat land or beaches, fertile or barren land, but loam with deep and fertile soil layer, good air permeability and strong water retention is the best.
