First, the three key words in the Book of Changes express the philosophy of standing in the world.
Scholar Feng Youlan believes that; The Book of Changes is a universal algebra, equivalent to the symbols of the universe, and there are formulas. Therefore, although everything in the world is not mentioned, everything in the world can be brought in. There are three words with similar strokes in the Book of Changes, which can describe a long life state. The first is "Shang". The Book of Changes says: Heaven is healthy, and gentlemen are constantly striving for self-improvement. First of all, people should have good ambitions. As the old saying goes, villains always yearn for it, and gentlemen always yearn for it. Sometimes we really need a powerful energy to keep pulling us forward, to achieve small goals first, and then to achieve big goals. Set a goal for yourself and cultivate habits. In fact, a person's life is made up of a good habit or a good habit. Push yourself to a bigger platform with good habits, and you will have the opportunity to get in touch with more resources and opportunities, so as to seek more upward strength. But being positive doesn't mean we can't be pessimistic, but we should learn to manage our emotions, and think and motivate ourselves.
Add a vertical to the word "up" and it becomes "stop". The Book of Changes says: Kang Long has regrets. The state of life, once it reaches its peak, will inevitably decline, which is a natural law. When the moon is full, it will be lost, and when the water is full, it will overflow. As Sun Tzu's Art of War said: Make a decision before you act, and Zhi Zhi will win. Knowing enough is enough, knowing the principle of moderation, you can advance and retreat moderately. I ching divination, when it stops, it stops, when it is implemented, and when it is not lost, its path is bright. Just like the three great masters in the early Han Dynasty, only Sean claimed that after helping Liu Bang win the world, he would follow Red Pine Son to cultivate immortality. Later, Xiao He was suspected, and Han Xin was killed by the emperor. All of them ended in discord. So it's really important that we talk too much.
Add a horizontal line above the word "check", which is the word "positive". Ding Gua in the Book of Changes says that "a gentleman takes his life as it is". On the one hand, the ancients paid attention to correctness in posture. For example, Confucius said: If you don't cut the meat well, you won't eat it, and you won't sit well. In fact, just like the sense of ceremony we are paying attention to now, he cultivated our habits. On the other hand, he also pays attention to honesty in his mentality. Zeng Guofan once mentioned his habit of sitting still in his diary: every time he sits still for half an hour every day, he will feel the kindness coming and going, and he will be in a calm situation, such as Ding Town. You can reflect through this process, and then cultivate your own righteousness, which is also the bottom line of cultivating your own morality and life, so that you can measure whether your morality is appropriate and then control your life. When to move forward, when to stop, and how to stand in this world correctly, I think everyone has their own ideas, but these three words really inspired me.
? Second, when you complain about life, you might as well look at Su Shi's life.
? "When is the bright moon? Ask heaven for wine. I don't know what year it is in the palace. " A classic sentence is recited by everyone at school. Mr. Lin Yutang once wrote in Su Dongpo's Biography: When it comes to Su Dongpo, I'm afraid China people always smile. I think this should be the best interpretation of Su Dongpo. Su Shi was a scholar at the age of 20, which can be said to be a teenager. But after middle age, life doesn't seem to be very smooth, because he was either demoted or on the way to be demoted, and finally he was directly demoted to Hainan Island. In Su Shi's life, there were three women he loved deeply, but all three women appeared before him. Therefore, this life is really rough, and there are even some wanderings. But at the same time, Su Shi was also the biggest coffee maker in the Northern Song Dynasty. His fans, from the royal family to ordinary people, will be sought after by tens of thousands of people, and even compatriots from neighboring countries will jump out to praise Su Shi from time to time. Chen Bing Mid-Autumn Festival, drinking up to Dan, drunk to write this article, for pregnant. This word was written by Su Shi to his younger brother Su Zhe, but it was actually written for himself. Su Shi is full of lofty political ambitions and ideals, but he is not very proud politically because he is different from Wang Anshi, a political reformer in power. However, despite this, he did not give up the pursuit of life and ideals. A thousand miles away, there are not many boles. Nowadays, some talented young people who have not been reused, or those whose work and life are slightly unsatisfactory, often complain about untimely birth and social injustice. Whenever this time, in fact, we can say a poem with a smile: the monarch and the minister have dreams, but the mountains are long, the clouds are chaotic and the mountains are green. Only by being broad-minded, open-minded and ambitious can we go further.
Third, do you mean debauchery and wealth?
We often hear such a saying in TV, movies or life: all monks are empty. Those four are empty. Which four are they? Is it abstinence from alcohol and color? Or abstain from greed and folly? In fact, nothing is about the principle of the composition of everything in the universe. What is the world we live in? There may be many answers. In ancient times, everything was composed of yin and yang and five elements. In modern times, it is said that the universe is made up of atoms. Buddhism believes that the four elements that make up the world, wind, fire and water, make up everything in the world. For example, a flower needs land, water, air, sunshine and wind. So the emptiness of the four elements is the emptiness of these four elements. If these four elements are harmonious, everything will develop well. If they are not harmonious, the world will be destroyed in chaos. An object composed of four elements is only temporary, for example, it constitutes us. When life dissipates, these elements will recombine into another object and still exist. In fact, everything in the world is changeable, illusory and impermanent. We understand this impermanence, but it can make us bear the burden of humiliation and balance our minds.
Buddhists often say: Bodhi has no trees, and the mirror is not Taiwan. There was nothing, so there was no dust. Many people understand it as a passive escape mentality, and feel that everything is illusory and there is no need to be persistent. But I think, in this materialistic world, sometimes we should have this attitude of humiliation, be indifferent to life and death, follow our hearts and do our best. For some things that you can't get after hard work, you should know how to let go, not be persistent and not be greedy.
? 4. What is the meaning of "death" in Buddhism?
For Buddhism, death is not a painful or horrible thing. It seems to be just the disappearance of a life form, just like burning out lamp oil. But the disappearance of life will still exist in another form and will continue in samsara. Therefore, Buddhists have a more calm attitude towards death than ordinary people. Let's share the last three sentences of Buddhist monks.
First of all, Huineng, the famous sixth ancestor of Zen, left a legacy before his death. He put it this way: monks don't practice, don't do evil, are silent and ignorant, and have no intention of wandering. In other words, only when the heart is clean, there is no purpose and no attempt can we see everything clearly. At the same time, he also advised everyone to know how to let go. Many times, we always follow our inner desires, constantly pursue, take and pick up, but never learn to let go. Set limits for yourself, and then set traps for yourself.
The second is the master of virtual cloud in modern times. There was only one word left before he died: quit. Buddhism pays attention to the five precepts, that is, no killing, no stealing, no lewdness, no lying and no drinking. Therefore, people's greed and ignorance in life need to dilute and control our own desires. By quitting these miscellaneous aspects, you can save more time and energy to focus on a more efficient life.
The last one was Hony Master Li Shutong, and Li Shutong left four words: mixed feelings of sadness and joy. Some people think that he sympathizes with the people in trouble, others think that he sympathizes with his own life. Sadness may still have some regrets, but happiness is the success of his life's practice, and he is about to bid farewell to the suffering of this world. Before he died, there was another thing that he specifically told the waiter: pay attention to the harm to the life of ants when burning, and bring the compassion of Buddhism into full play.
In fact, what is true kindness? This is a very pure and upright quality. At present, many of us seldom think about others from the perspective of others. They are all self-centered or have a purpose in everything. Simple kindness and helping others are less and less, especially for those who are superior to others, and it is even more difficult to tell whether others help him out of kindness or ulterior motives. The ancient emperor said that it was impossible to be cold at the top, because people could not treat each other sincerely.
Share so many truths and tell you an interesting little story. What kind of pig is the pig in Journey to the West? First of all, it is certain that Pig Bajie must be a black pig. Although Pig Bajie is a white and fat domestic pig in TV series, in real history, white pigs were introduced to China from the west in 1980s and 1990s, so all domestic pigs should be big black pigs before that. There is a saying in The Journey to the West that describes Pig Bajie's appearance: there is a long row of iron arrows in the back of his head, and his skin is rough and green, indicating that the prototype of Pig Bajie should be a black pig with black body. Where is this pig's ancestral home? There are many records in the book that Pig Bajie was reincarnated as a pig from Marshal Tian Peng. The pigsty is in Uszang, Hezhou, Xiniu. According to Buddhist legend, Xiniuhe Prefecture is probably in our present India and Tibet. After the Tang Priest got the scriptures, he introduced Zhu Bajie to Emperor Taizong: he was born in Zhanyun Cave, Fuling. Because of the trouble in the Gaolao village in Wuzang, he was persuaded by the Bodhisattva and waded all the way, making great contributions. Where is Uzi hiding? Before the Qing Dynasty, Uszang was the name of Tibet. Because Wu Cheng was from Amin Dynasty, it is said that Pig Bajie's hometown was probably in Tibet in ancient China, where there lived a very old Tibetan fragrant pig breed with dark color, mane, short hair and fangs on the back of the head, which just matched the appearance of Pig Bajie in The Journey to the West. This shows that Pig Bajie should be a Tibetan fragrant pig produced in Tibet.
? The Narrative History of Art does contain many ancient China thoughts, including the truth of standing in the world, and some folklore, such as where Shoubi Nanshan refers to, the origin of the sentence that uncle died in the first month, the difference between glutinous rice balls and Yuanxiao, and so on. I like the ancient history and culture of China better than some foreign books. I think it can be more suitable for our environment and the situation we encounter. China has a cultural history of 5,000 years, and Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism have countless spiritual foods. Doesn't it smell good? I hope that through my sharing, we can learn more about the cultural connotation of Greater China and find our own direction in life.
