The predecessor of Funing Middle School in Jiangsu Province was Funing County Junior Middle School founded by Mr. Chen in Goudun, Funing on 1923.

/kloc-in the autumn of 0/928, the county junior high school moved to Fucheng.

1948 merged into the Middle School of the Fifth Division of Jiangsu-Anhui Border Region (hereinafter referred to as "District Middle School") and moved from Balchai Port to Funing City.

1949, the middle school that moved to Yancheng and stayed in Funing was called District Middle School.

1950 was renamed Funing county junior high school.

1952 was officially named Funing Middle School in Jiangsu Province with the approval of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education.
