During the Spring and Autumn Period, King Zhao of Zhou led troops to attack the Chu State blocked by Xiangjiang River. Chu people carried them across the river in sticky boats. The ship sank when it was stuck in the middle of the river. Zhao Haoqi flooded the Xiangjiang River, hence the name Zhaoshan.
The reason why Zhaoshan became famous was that it benefited from a painting "Sunshine Lan Tu in Mountain City" by Mi Fei, a famous painter in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is said that when Mi Fei came here, he was very impressed with the scenery here, so he improvised a painting of "Mountain City is Clear and Blue" with a poem: "The chaotic peaks are empty and wet, and the mountain city is green and wrong." "It's just a little cold, I drank too much, so I don't have to raise the wine flag from now on." It depicts the beautiful scenery of Zhaoshan Mountain City. The painting vividly depicts the misty rain, blue waves and clear sky of Zhaoshan Mountain. Since then, Zhaoshan Mountain has been listed as one of the "Eight Scenes of Xiaoxiang". At the end of the Ming Dynasty, when Wang Fuzhi was studying at Yuelu Academy in Changsha, he went for a walk here, leaving behind a masterpiece praising Zhaoshan: "The final stone is blue, the deep spring flowers are red, the Chengtan is condensed into one color, and the clouds are double-rainbow."
Zhaoshan, the mountains are steep and the waters are beautiful, and the caves and beaches are beautiful. Book integration and professional prescriptions give a wonderful description of the steepness of Zhaoshan Mountain: Zhaoshan Mountain "runs down the mountain, showing the shore of Hunan, with green pavilions, magnificent rocks, shady trees, slightly exposed calyx and no tendency to fall." When the ship passes under it, you can vaguely see the rock window, which is beyond your reach. " Zhaoshan Mountain is a combination of Phoenix Mountain and Tiger Mountain. Pine, tea, cypress and bamboo are widely planted on the mountain, which is full of vitality. There are 48 doors in Longdong Cave at the foot of Zhaoshan Mountain, and no one has ever come to an end. Zhaotan is a deep pool in Xiangjiang River. The Notes on Water Classics says that it is unfathomable, and the water there is particularly green. The white sand beach opposite Zhaoshan, with clear water and fine sand, can be called the inland Beihai Silver Beach.

Legend has it that Xuan Di, the elder brother of Nanyue Sheng Di, lived in this ancient temple. Xuan Di's mana is not as high as that of the holy emperor, and there are not so many people who come to worship, but Xuan Di doesn't care. He is always kind to others, blowing the body and mind of passing tourists with the spring breeze in Hexi, which makes people feel comfortable. Therefore, tourists who come to Zhaoshan, no matter how bad, feel relaxed and happy as soon as they go up the mountain.
