Recalling history in Woods Valley
Wei Yan (174-234), with a long word, was the fifth general of Shu and Han dynasties. In his early years, he was a subordinate of Liu Biao, who defected to Changsha Prefecture Han Xuan because of disagreement with Cai Mao. When Liu Bei attacked Changsha, he surrendered to Liu Bei because he was dissatisfied with Han Xuan, and was deeply appreciated by Liu Bei because of his youth. Wei Yan has a bad temper. When Liu Bei was the king of Hanzhong, he didn't include Wei Yan among the generals because he was afraid that everyone would not listen to him. Instead, Wei was made emperor. Wei Yan asked him to be the satrap of Hanzhong. He said, "I won't attack if Tsao Gong doesn't come; If Cao Gong comes, please refuse it for the king. " Liu Bei appreciated Wei Yan very much and immediately named him the satrap of Hanzhong. Sure enough, Cao Cao never dared to attack Hanzhong again.

In 223, Liu Bei died in Baidicheng and Liu Chan acceded to the throne. At this time, the four generals of Shu and Han were all dead, and Zhuge Liang reused Wei Yan again. Wei Yan played a very important role in Zhuge Liang's southern expedition and northern expedition. During Zhuge Liang's first northern expedition, Wei Yan put forward the idea of surprise attack on the meridian valley, but Zhuge Liang disagreed. However, at this time, the contradiction between Wei Yan and Yang Yi became increasingly serious. Yang Yi's repeated denigration made Zhuge Liang distrust Wei Yan more and more. In 234, Zhuge Liang died of illness in Wuzhangyuan. When Zhuge Liang passed on his last words, there was no Wei Yan. Zhuge Liang said, "After I die, you will retreat and Wei will be the pioneer. If he doesn't withdraw, the army will retreat. " After Zhuge Liang's death, Wei Yan really didn't want to retire. He said, "Although the Prime Minister is dead, I am still here, and I can continue the Northern Expedition." Judging from the situation at that time, Wei Yan was already the first warrior of Shu Han, and his statement was not groundless. But at this time, Yang Yi was forced by words, and Wei Yan was confused for a moment, so he set fire to the supply route of the Shu army and publicly opposed Yang Yi. As a result, many soldiers were dissatisfied and Wei Yan was defeated by Yang Yi. When he retreated to Hanzhong, he was killed by Ma Dai. When Yang Yi saw Wei Yan's head, he kicked hard with his feet and kept cursing.

Wei Yan and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms in history are totally two people. The real fifth tiger general in the history of Shu Han was criticized as having an anti-bone behind his head. If Wei Yan had knowledge under the spring, he might not cry.
