The Historical Evolution of Meizhuang Town
It turned out to be a big tree. Hu moved here from the village because the village was built under this plum tree. Before liberation, it belonged to Meizhuang Township and Wulong Township. After liberation, it belongs to Meizhuang in five districts. 1952, changed to Youquan Township. 1958, Meizhuang Commune was established. 1984 was changed to villages and towns, and 1994 was established. 1997, with an area of 82.5 square kilometers and a population of 34,000, governs Meizhuang, Donghua, Xinfu, Dianshang, Xintang, Xinxing, Yaogang, Futian, Xinhua, Jiegang, Jinggang, Tang Yan, Jiaobu, Luokeng, Hengxi, Dongzhou, Shitang and so on1. At the end of 2000, Nifang and Xinqiao, the former administrative villages of Junshanhu Township, were placed under Meizhuang Town.
