Xinzheng jujube has a long history. The jujube pit fossils unearthed from Peiligang cultural site in Xinzheng prove that Xinzheng jujube has been cultivated for more than 8000 years. In the Spring and Autumn Period, there was a saying that "peaches and jujubes are the shade of the street". Xinzheng is the birthplace of jujube. Xinzheng jujube has good quality; Deng Xiaoping, who is famous at home and abroad, specially presented Xinzheng Jixin Jujube to the Japanese Emperor when he visited Japan. In the national jujube appraisal held in Xinjiang, Xinzheng jujube ranked first among thousands of jujubes. The annual output of fresh jujube in the city is150,000 kg (the highest annual output in history is 2 1 10,000 kg), with an output value of more than 60 million yuan, accounting for more than 10% of the total agricultural output value of towns and villages in eight jujube areas, and more than 60% of the key producing areas are Mengzhuang Town. The service system of jujube industry before, during and after delivery is relatively sound, and there are many jujube processing enterprises. 1994, the former Ministry of Forestry and the Ministry of Finance designated Xinzheng as the "National Jujube Base County (City)", 1998 successfully planned and held the "1998 First Jujube Town Customs Tour", developed famous scenic spots such as "Ancient Jujube Garden" and "Yuhuangguan Jujube Terrace", and formulated the five-year development of Xinzheng jujube industry.
