Yongzhou Normal University is located in Lingling District, a famous historical and cultural city in China. There are seven colleges, namely, primary school education college, preschool education college, liberal arts college, science college, art college, basic education college and continuing education college. There are seven majors: primary education, preschool education, Chinese education, music education, art education, music performance and art design.

This school has a long history.

The school was formed by the merger of the original Daoxian Normal School and the original Qiyang Normal School. The former Daoxian Teachers College was founded in 1958, and the former Qiyang Teachers College was founded in 1979, with a history of 62 years of normal education.

The new school campus was officially put into use in July, 20 19, covering an area of 503.7 mu, with a building area of179,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment in the school is more than 78 million yuan, with 900 teaching computers, 685 pianos and electric pianos, 480,000 paper books, 224 classrooms equipped with intelligent blackboards and multimedia teaching systems, and 344 training rooms equipped with microteaches, Montessori classrooms, recording and broadcasting rooms and e-book teaching rooms.
