Zhang Jinqiu, the first academician of China Academy of Engineering, is a leading figure in the field of architecture. She is a contemporary leader in integrating China's traditional architectural art into modern design. She not only designed the Shaanxi History Museum, which was certified as a world-class museum by UNESCO, but also led the completion design of the xi 'an branch of China National Museum. Even at the age of 87, she is still full of enthusiasm and firmly believes that the ultimate goal of architecture is to create a happy space for the people.
Zhang Jinqiu, 1936, a native of Chengdu, Sichuan, loved literature since childhood. Influenced by her father, she chose architecture as her major, and began a long journey of architectural study with Professor Liang Sicheng and General Professor Mo Jiang at 196 1. She was deeply influenced by Liang Sicheng's feelings of home and country, and it was this feeling that made her bravely oppose the design style that did not conform to China tradition.

In the work of China Northwest Design Institute, Zhang Jinqiu established the concept of Tang Wenhua in the design of Huaqingchi Gate, and established the architectural style of New tang style from the design of Ma Lu Monument in Ngapoi. In order to explore the combination of traditional architecture and modern technology and materials, the historical characteristics of the new museum are well combined with the functions of modern architecture. The establishment of Huangdi Mausoleum Sacrificial Hall, Datang Furong Garden and Nanhu Lake is the ecological revival and environmental reconstruction of Shaanxi.
In the design of Yan 'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall, rainwater utilization and reclaimed water utilization were implemented. Shaanxi History Museum foresees the future demand from the overall layout and architectural design, and reserves the development space.
