The prison was built in 195 1, and was changed to furongsi farm in April 1953, and in March 1956, it was changed to the local state-owned furongsi farm in Jiangsu Province, which was called the 23rd Reform-through-Labor and Correctional Team of Jiangsu Province and was placed under the jurisdiction of Zhenjiang Special Service Public Security Department. From June 65438 to July 0957, the appointment and dismissal of party organizations and cadres were placed under the leadership of Yixing County Committee. 1March, 959, it was changed to the local state-owned Furong Tea Farm in Jiangsu Province, which was under the Labor Reform Bureau of the Provincial Public Security Department. 1April, 1984, it was officially changed to Furong Tea Farm in Jiangsu Province, and it was called the Fifth Reform-through-Labor Detachment of Jiangsu Province, which was directly under the Reform-through-Labor Bureau of the Provincial Department of Justice. 1996 was renamed Yixing prison in Jiangsu province.
