The history of Fuzhou horn comb
Fuzhou horn comb has a long history. 1976, an ancient tomb of the Southern Song Dynasty was unearthed in Xindian, a northern suburb of Fuzhou. Among the funerary objects, there are six horn combs made of black buffalo horns, which indicates that it has a history of at least 700 years.

Around 1935, Zou, the founder of Zoujiaoshu Village in Fuzhou, successfully developed the first "electric angle saw", and hired lacquer painters to draw tigers, leopards, lions, elephants, classical figures, landscapes, etc. on the angle comb road with lacquer painting techniques, and participated in the international handicraft "Little Luzon Competition" and won the gold medal. It is said that Hu Wenhu, a giant businessman, paid half a catty of gold for the award-winning "Horn Tiger Comb" (not triple), so the price of horn comb was higher than gold, which became a much-told story for a while.
