Taicang is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Suzhou, located in the southeast of Jiangsu Province and the south bank of the Yangtze River estuary. It borders the Yangtze River in the east, Chongming District, Baoshan District and Jiading District of Shanghai across the river in the south, Kunshan City in the west and Changshu City in the north.
