The Historical Evolution of the Library of Wuhan Institute of Technology
1972 the library of Wuhan institute of chemical technology (formerly known as the library of Hubei institute of petrochemical technology) was formally established with the establishment of the college, and a temporary building was set up in tanhualin, Wuchang.

/kloc-at the end of 0/974, the library moved to the first teaching building (the former overseas Chinese supplementary school) in Luxiang, Wuchang, and the classroom was used as a temporary building.

1980 changed its name to Wuhan Institute of Chemical Technology Library in March. In the same year, 10 became a department-level institution from June, and was directly led by the Institute. The vice president in charge of teaching is in charge of the library work and implements the curator responsibility system.

1986 in may, the first fully functional new library was built in the library of Wuhan institute of chemical technology, with a construction area of 7384 square meters, which is still in use today. After the completion of the new library building, the conditions of the building have been comprehensively improved.

At the end of 2004, the new library of Liu Fang Campus was completed and put into use, with a construction area of over 1.9 million square meters.

In March 2006, with the renaming of the school, the library was officially renamed as Wuhan Institute of Technology Library.
