Characteristics of Ji Fang Peony:

Ji Fang Peony is a variety introduced from Japan by China 1949, and its color is the darkest among red peonies. Because of its high saturation color, it sometimes looks even red and purple, and it has a strong floral fragrance. Ji Fang plants are very tall and are usually distinguished by their veins after flowering. The flowers are rose-shaped, upright and resistant to adversity. The flowers in Ji Fang are compact and bright.

Ji Fang is a flower variety in China. In the Tang Dynasty, Li Shanfu once described Ji Fang peony with the poem "A few colorful buds come out of the fire, and a whimsy comes from outside the sky".

Peony "Ji Fang" is deeply loved by the majority of flower watchers for its pure crimson and lotus-shaped tall and straight flower posture. Chen Shan Botanical Garden, Shanghai Botanical Garden, Guyi Garden, Caoxi Park and Tianshan Park, which were planted only last year, all planted Ji Fang.

However, Caoxi Park is the best place to bloom.

The park has a long history and rich experience in planting peony. About 10 plants were planted on the flower bed in the corner of the big lawn.
