Historical Changes of Confucius Temple
Xuwen Confucius Temple was built in Dade seven years of Yuan Dynasty (1303), and it has been repaired many times, and its address has been changed many times with the change of county administration.

At present, the Confucius Temple in Xuwen No.1 Middle School was built in the 14th year of Hongzhi, Xiaozong of Ming Dynasty, 150 1. It was the Gong Xue in xuwen county at that time, with a history of more than 500 years, nearly a hundred years earlier than the Guisheng Academy founded by Tang Xianzu and Xiong Min, the magistrate of a county, in the 19th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (159 1).

With the end of the imperial examination system in the 30th year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty (1904), the county school was changed to xuwen county Higher Primary School, and was later inherited as the present xuwen county No.1 Middle School in 1938. It can be said that Xu Wen No.1 Middle School, a place that respects Confucius, has been studying continuously for more than 700 years after bathing in past lives of Confucius Academy!

1986 The county government allocated funds to rebuild Dacheng Hall. 1990 No.1 Middle School raised funds to repair Chi Pan. There are many stone carvings in the ancient tablet of Confucius Temple, but most of them have been lost. The existing good inscriptions include the statue of Sikou in the thirty-first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1398), the monument built by Shi Gandang in Taishan Town, Lugong Office in Chenghuang Temple, and the tablet of Yi Studies. There is also an inscription belonging to Gong Xue, which is now lost in Ximen Village Committee.

A pair of drum stones are well preserved. Two ancient loquats, full of growth and lush foliage, are known as "Gan Tang Rain and Dew". The ancients were very serious about Confucius Temple. In the past, there were monuments on the left and right sides of the Confucius Temple, which read, "The officials of the civil and military forces dismounted here." No matter how big an official is, he can't swagger when he comes to Confucius Temple. He can only dismount and walk respectfully, otherwise he won't be in a hurry.

20 12 February, this ancient building is destined to usher in another moment that will go down in history forever. Lin, secretary of Xuwen County Committee of the Communist Party of China and county magistrate of xuwen county, immediately decided to allocate 1 10,000 yuan to repair the Confucius Temple when he visited cultural relics and historic sites in Xuwen No.1 Middle School. Xuwen Confucian Temple is a precious cultural heritage in Xuwen's educational history and a historical classic that needs to be read carefully. It inherits the profound history and culture of China for more than 5,000 years, and it is our spiritual food. We should protect it.
