Zhaiying Town is located at the southern foot of Fan Jing, a national nature reserve, and is rich in mineral, forest and tourism resources. It has five gold-lettered signboards: National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit, China Gunlong Art Hometown, China Folk Culture and Art Hometown, China Characteristic Town and National Characteristic Scenic Tourism Town. Historically, it once enjoyed the reputation of "Little Nanjing" under Fan Jingshan.

The results of "20 13 Most Beautiful Villages and Towns in China" were announced, and Zhai Ying Ancient Town in Songtao Autonomous County won the highest award-"Model Award".
