In June 2002, in order to adapt to the development of local tourism economy and meet the demand of railway transportation growth, the old station building of Xiongyuecheng, a Russian building, was demolished. After five months of construction, the new station building of Xiongyuecheng with a total area of 1.346 square meters was completed in June of the same year. The total area of the station platform is 6342 square meters, with 8 stations and 3 special lines. Today, Xiongyuecheng Station has an annual baggage and parcel transportation volume of 70,000 pieces, cargo delivery volume of/kloc-0.5 million tons, passenger delivery volume of nearly 900,000 passengers, and transportation income of nearly 10 million yuan.
