Zhoushan is the first prefecture-level city in China, which belongs to Zhejiang Province. It is located at the intersection of the golden coastline in eastern China and the golden waterway of the Yangtze River, and is backed by the vast economic hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta.
Zhoushan has 1390 islands with more than 270 kilometers of deep water coastline. It is the largest archipelago and an important port city in China. It governs Dinghai, Putuo District, Daishan and Shengsi County, with a permanent population of 1. 1.46 million.

Zhoushan City is located in Zhoushan Islands in the northeast of Zhejiang Province. Thousand Island City has a long history and rich cultural heritage. Since 200 1, after four years of salvage and collection, the relevant departments have found more than 300 late Pleistocene mammalian skeleton fossils that have been sleeping on the seabed for tens of thousands of years, and found wooden tools used by primitive humans 40,000 years ago.
Mammalian bone fossils were identified by the Institute of Paleoanthropology of China Academy of Sciences as four kinds of bones, namely, the teeth of a large animal with ancient ribs and teeth, the mandible of a German buffalo, the mandible of a rhinoceros, and part of the skull and horn of a water deer, dating back 25,000 years.
The wooden stick tools used by primitive humans have become reliable physical evidence of ancient human activities in Zhoushan more than 40 thousand years ago. It is proved that 40,000 ~ 50,000 years ago, all kinds of late Pleistocene mammals and ancient humans thrived together here.
According to the archaeological discoveries of 1975 Bai Quan Cross Road in Dinghai, 1978 Sunjiashan in Daishan Qushan, and 1979 Tangjiadun in Ma 'ao in Dinghai, it shows that human beings flourished here as early as 5,000 years ago in the Neolithic Age.
In the Spring and Autumn Period, it belonged to Yue and was called "Yongdong". During the Warring States Period, the State of Chu was destroyed by the State of Yue, so it belonged to the State of Chu. In the twenty-fifth year of the King of Qin (the first 222 years), Yongdong was located in the east of Jixian County, Huiji County. Han, Three Kingdoms (Wu), Jin, Song (Southern Dynasties), Qi, Liang and Chen. In the ninth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (589), Huiji County was abolished, Yin, Zhi and Yuyao were counties, and Yongdong and Zhi County were merged into counties.
In the fourth year of Tang Wude (62 1), Zhu Zhang, Yin and Zhi established Yinzhou, and Yongdong returned to Yinzhou. In eight years, Yinzhou was abandoned as a county, and Yongdong belonged to it. In the 26th year of Kaiyuan (738), an Interview with Jiangnan East Road invited Qi Long to analyze the counties in Yuezhou, and designated them as Zhi, Cixi, Fenghua and Wengshan (now Dinghai). Wengshan County is located in the east of Gu Yong, which governs Du Fu, Anqing and Penglai.
Wang Shutong, the county magistrate of Jixian County, was also the first county magistrate of Wengshan County. In the first year of Baoying (762), Wengshan set up a rich supervisor and was transferred to the court as a salt and iron ambassador. Yuan Chao led the rebels to occupy Mount Weng. In the sixth year of Dali (77 1), Wengshan County was abandoned and belonged to Shanshan County. In the Five Dynasties, wuyue Hou Liang Kaiping for three years (909), Mingzhou was promoted to a marine division, and Yixian was changed to Yinxian. The original Wengshan area was separated from the complex Wengshan County and was placed under the command of Wanghaishui Division.
In the third year of the Northern Song Dynasty (978), Wengshan was abandoned in Yinxian County. In the second year of the end arch (989), a patrol inspection department was established. In July of the sixth year of Xining (1073), Wang Anshi was ordered to attack Yinxian County, and analyzed the three towns of Du Fu, Anqi and Penglai in Yinxian County, Jianxian County and the country name of Guo Chang.
In the 15th year of Yuan Dynasty (1278), due to "shipwreck" and "excessive debts", counties were promoted to states.
In the second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1369), Changguozhou was changed to a county. Twelve years (1379), Chang's home country has thousands of households. In seventeen years, he established Chang Guowei. Twenty years (1387) in June, Guo Chang County was abandoned and Guo Chang Township was set up. Moved to Wei in Nantianmen Mountain, Xiangshan County. In the 23rd year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1684), the imperial court issued the Order of Exhibition of Seas, which opened the maritime ban, Zhoushan began to recover, and fishery agriculture gradually flourished. The company commander of Dinghai Town was moved to Zhoushan to build Zhoushan Town. In May of the 26th year, Emperor Kangxi changed Zhoushan to "Dinghai Mountain" with the inscription "Dinghai Mountain". In the twenty-seventh year (1688), Haixian county was established (the original Dinghai county was changed to Zhenhai county).
In the 20th year of Daoguang (1840), the Opium War broke out and Dinghai fell. In February1year (184 1), the British army decided to retreat from the sea. Dinghai garrison envoys Ge, Wang Xipeng, Shou Chun and Zheng Lingbing 3,000 to rebuild Dinghai defense line. In April, Dinghai County was promoted to Zhili Hall.
After the Revolution of 1911 (19 1 1), Haixian was newly established.
