Su Daji's tomb is located in Qi County, Henan Province. On the beach of Nanqi River in Qixian County, Henan Province, the tomb is a mound, and later generations erected a monument called "Su Daji's Tomb", with Zhou Wang's tomb in front and Empress Jiang's tomb on the right. After excavation, many Shang bronzes and jades were found, many of which still bear inscriptions, as well as a large number of Oracle Bone Inscriptions and "Oracle Bone Inscriptions" carved on tortoise shells and animal bones. So there are no bones in Su Daji's grave.
Brief introduction of Su Daji
Da ji (date of birth and death unknown), whose surname is da ji, is a Sioux female (now wen county, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province). Legend has it that da ji is a beauty. According to "Guoyu Yujin", he set out to attack the Su tribe.
Some Su tribes could not resist the powerful attack of the Shang army. Between extinction and kneeling, some Su tribal leaders chose to kneel down and gave all their cattle, sheep and horses beauty da ji. Chronicle of Bamboo Slips records that Di Xin attacked Su You for nine years and married da ji, while Century of the Emperor records that Di Xin married da ji in the second year.
Records and legends about da ji have become household names. It was not until the end of 19 and the beginning of the 20th century that archaeologists excavated the relics of the Shang Dynasty in Xiaotun Village, Anyang City, Henan Province, which made us know more about the historical situation before the Zhou Dynasty than Confucius and Sima Qian could have access to at that time, and only then did we evaluate the true face of da ji, the king of the Shang Dynasty.
