Kaihua County has a long history of producing tea. Founded in the sixth year of Xingguo, Song Taiping (AD 98 1). Recorded tea was listed as a tribute in the Ming Dynasty. According to the records of Kaihua County annals in the fourth year of Chongzhen (A.D. 163 1), "Tea leaves Jinzhai, but it is inferior to Tianchi" and "Gongya tea weighs four Jin". In the 24th year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1898), it was recorded in Kaihua County Records that when paying tribute to bud tea, it was paid in "yellow silk bags and flag baskets" within a limited time.

According to the "Kaihua County Records Draft" in the 38th year of the Republic of China (1949), "Tea four townships are prolific, and the northwest countryside is the best. Before Grain Rain, the picker called it the white hair tip before the rain. " The above is the earliest historical textual research of Hua Kai Dinglong Tea.
