The unique taste and special status of Henan Opera "Chaoyanggou" in the history of modern Chinese opera are indisputable and irreplaceable. The play was first performed in Zhengzhou on May 19, 1958 by the Third Troupe of Henan Yu Theater, with screenwriter Yang Lanchun, directors Yang Lanchun and Xu Xin, music designers Wang Jixiao and Jiang Hongxuan, and stage art designer Guan Peng.

Wei Yun is decorated with silver rings, and Wang Shanpu is decorated with Shuan Bao. In June of the same year, he was transferred to Beijing to perform.
