Song: Hua Fei Hua
Singer: Wei Jiaqing
Lyrics: Bai Juyi
Composer: Huang Zi
Flowers are not flowers, mist is not mist
Come at midnight and go at dawn
Come like a spring dream in a short time
Go like morning clouds with nowhere to find
Flowers are not flowers, mist is not mist
Come at midnight and go at dawn
Come like a spring dream in a short time
Go like morning clouds with nowhere to find
Flowers are not flowers, mist is not mist
Come at midnight and go at dawn
Come like a spring dream in a short time
Go like morning clouds with nowhere to find
Flowers are not flowers, mist is not mist
Flowers are not flowers, mist is not mist
Flowers are not flowers, mist is not mist
It comes and goes at dawn
It doesn't take long to come like a spring dream
It goes like a morning cloud with nowhere to find
The flowers are neither flowers nor mist
It comes in the middle of the night and leaves at dawn
It didn't take long to come like a spring dream
It went like a morning cloud with nowhere to find
Flowers are not flowers, mist is not mist extended information
"Flowers are not flowers" was sung by Wei Jiaqing a song.
In 2009, as the 60th anniversary of the motherland was approaching, Wei Jiaqing specially recorded "Flowers Are Not Flowers" as a gift to review the 60-year music history of the motherland. "Flowers Are Not Flowers" is a masterpiece handed down by the famous patriotic musician Huang Zi. The lyrics are taken from Bai Juyi's poems. It is a national classic song that has been covered many times.
Bai Juyi's ancient lyrics are thought-provoking. Under the reinterpretation of Wei Jiaqing's Wei-style emotional voice, the song is full of elegance and beauty.
Creative background:
There are two poems in "Bai's Changqing Collection", "Zhenniang's Tomb" and "Jian Jian Yin", and both poems are mourning works. This poem "Flowers Are Not Flowers" is in the same volume as the above two poems and is compiled next. The poem "Hua Fei Hua" was written at about the same time as "Jian Jian Yin" for the same purpose. According to the poetic meaning, it is also a sigh that although the past is beautiful, it is like a dream and a cloud, and can no longer be found.
"Flowers Are Not Flowers" is an ancient poem with miscellaneous words written by Bai Juyi, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. This poem expresses the emotion that life is like a dream, like fog or lightning, and expresses a kind of remembrance and regret for the beautiful people and things that have existed in life but have disappeared.
The whole poem is composed of a series of metaphors, the description is obscure but true, and there is rhythmic order and intricate beauty in the hazyness. It is an excellent work of love poetry. Later generations once composed it into a piece of music, which was widely circulated.
Just reading "Comes at midnight and leaves at dawn" makes readers suspect that it is a dream. But from the words "come like a spring dream" in the next sentence, it can be seen that this is not the case. "Dream" turns out to be the same thing. Here, the words "come" and "go" play a role in connecting the previous and the following in terms of music and mood, thus giving rise to two fresh metaphors. "Come in the middle of the night" is the dream of spring. Although the spring dream is beautiful, it is short-lived, which leads to the question: "How long will it be like to come?" There is no place to look for in the morning clouds.”
