As of January 26, 2021, Li Yuer has not become a monk. Li Yu'er, formerly known as Li Yu, was born on June 13 in Dong'an County, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. She is a female singer from Mainland China, a soloist at the China Opera and Dance Theater, a member of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and an ambassador for the promotion of Chinese Nüshu culture.
