Two functions:

1. Take the middle value of the sound level signal as the switch signal - for ordinary fountains, the effect is average, and the fountain only has a jumping feeling.

2. Convert the sound level signal into a 0-5V voltage signal and provide it to a microcontroller or frequency converter as a control signal - this method allows the fountain water column to rise and fall in sync with the sound.
