Due to its long history, "Western Fujian Hakka Shiban Music" has continuously absorbed and integrated local Sheyao ancient music, Han opera, prayer opera, Chaozhou opera, tea-picking opera, puppet show music and even religious music. Constantly enrich myself and form tunes with profound artistic accumulation and various artistic styles.
The total number of tunes in the "Shifan Music of Western Fujian Hakka" once reached more than 1,000, but many have been lost. Less than 300 of the ancient "Gongchi Pu" and handed down can still be found.
Frequently played songs include "Wannian Huan", "Qianqiu Sui", "The Emperor Chao", "Moon over the Xijiang River", "Five Phoenixes", "Peach Club", "Under the Water", "General" "Order", "Beautiful Lady", "Indus Hanging on a Golden Cord", "Pomegranate Flower", "Red Wild Goose", "A Flower", "Willow Shakes Gold", "N Pingle", etc.
